Behavioral Health Representative I - Job Overview

Schedule: 7:30AM-6PM | Hybrid

  • Jump into action with patient screening and risk assessments

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange language line interpretation services with flair
  • Sort and dispense mail/faxes efficiently
  • Assist new patients with the registration process and intake forms
  • Manage EHR and continuity of care lists like a champion
  • Optimize patient access by handling provider schedules
  • Conquer waitlists and service orders with follow-ups
  • Obtain and enter vital signs in EHRS
  • Screen patients and complete risk assessments with precision
  • Be the translator when needed to make communication smooth
  • Attend mandatory meetings and complete reminder calls
  • Process testing prior authorizations, handle emergencies, and more
  • Conduct blood draws, injections, EKGs, and drug screens (for Medical Assistants)
  • Process lab service orders and cross-cover other locations if needed
  • Foster positive working relations as a team member
  • Attend safety training and ensure general and department safety
  • Maintain equipment and work area, reporting any concerns

Minimum Qualifications

  • BLS (CPR & AED) Certified - Check!
  • Three to six months of related experience preferred
  • A year certificate from college or technical school is a plus
  • Behavioral Health familiarity would be awesome!
  • Strong communication skills, both direct and over the phone
  • Teamwork spirit and leadership ability for program management
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities like a pro
  • Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual English and Spanish? That's fantastic!
