Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM-5PM) | 20 Hours Per Week | Flexible Schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the ultimate guide for potential and current breastfeeding moms, helping them initiate and maintain successful lactation!
  • Share your wisdom by educating patients about breastfeeding techniques and benefits versus bottle feeding!
  • Show off your skills by demonstrating breastfeeding techniques that rock!
  • Support super moms by advising them on optimal breastfeeding and latching techniques, ensuring comfort and success!
  • Help moms tackle sore breasts with clever solutions!
  • Be a transitioning whiz, teaching moms to maintain milk supplies when returning to work!
  • Be the guru on breast pumps and proper breast milk storage!
  • Guide healthcare pros on resolving patients' lactation challenges!
  • Lead rocking breastfeeding classes for expecting moms, sharing your expert tips!
  • Educate nursing staff and providers in cutting-edge breastfeeding practices!
  • Consult with staff to ensure they have all the best resources and equipment!
  • Team up with healthcare pros to deliver top-notch care!
  • Evaluate infant oral mechanics and milk transfer, recommending what works best!
  • Keep detailed records in Electronic Medical Records like a pro!
  • Be a connector, initiating referrals for support services as needed!
  • Showcase your expertise at health fairs and conferences, if workload allows!
  • Be a key player in Performance Improvement activities!
  • Whip up reports as needed!
  • Roll with any other tasks that come your way!

Minimum Qualifications

  • You've conquered a Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University, or boast one to two years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combo of education and experience!
  • You're licensed in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian—totally a bonus in our book!
  • You rock as a certified International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)!
  • You possess incredible teaching, verbal, and written communication skills that wow everyone you meet!
  • You understand diverse cultural, physical, emotional, and psychological responses to birthing, lactation, and parenting!
  • You're skilled in Microsoft programs, making you a computer wizard!
  • Bilingual Spanish/English? That makes you extra-awesome in our eyes!
