Pharmacy Inventory Technician - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-6:30PM) and Saturday (8AM-4:30PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Be the go-to connector, acting as a liaison for each pharmacy location to ensure inventory items are delivered faster than a speeding bullet!
• Assist with product changes in the pharmacy system, making sure everything is set for the 340B drug-pricing program like a pro!
• Stay on top of back-orders, drug recalls, and problem orders like a detective solving mysteries!
• Support the grand annual physical inventory of all pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, like a treasure hunt!
• Conduct routine audits, keeping stock levels just right, and recommending awesome changes to par levels and product selections!
• Help with the removal and disposal of expired medications in partnership with our expired drugs vendor, like a spring cleaning party!
• Manage new medication additions with flair, including stock location assignments and label printing!
• Assist in receiving patient assistance program (PAP) medications, like a friendly delivery from a pharmacy genie!
• Support the receipt, filling, and reassignment of medications from the Texas HIV Medication Program (THMP), playing a crucial part in health support!

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of related experience - you've got this!
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate - you're certified to shine!
• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy - you're official!
• Maintain BLS/CPR certification - skillful in saving the day!
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for inventory management - you're experienced and ready to lead!
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - you're a wordsmith!
• Analytical skills and understanding of the 340B pricing program practices - you're the brainiac we need!
• Experience with computer hardware and software applications is highly preferred - tech-savvy and ready to rock!
