Front Desk Clerk - Job Overview

As the Front Office Clerk at Legacy Community Health, you stand at the vanguard of patient interaction, pioneering the first impression that could revolutionize the patient-provider dynamic for the long haul.

Key Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate incoming calls with precision and direct them efficiently.
  • Streamline client intake processes and ensure seamless staff notifications upon a client's arrival.
  • Integrate patient information into advanced digital databases.
  • Augment volunteer management alongside the volunteer coordinator.
  • Adhere to agile appointment procedures set by leadership.
  • Implement and maintain secure cash handling protocols.
  • Execute comprehensive opening and closing procedures with attention to detail.
  • Maintain a state-of-the-art clinic lobby environment.
  • Efficiently process lab results as directed by the Practice Manager.
  • Engage in the Performance Improvement Program, contributing to data-driven outcomes.
  • Foster a respectful and professional atmosphere for all patients, families, and staff.
  • Champion effective collaboration within a team-based care model.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training, utilizing cutting-edge safety protocols.
  • Operate equipment safely and perform procedures with innovative approaches.
  • Ensure the work area and equipment meet Legacy's high standards.
  • Utilize advanced ergonomic practices in all functions.
  • Inspect the patient’s environment and equipment for optimal safety.
  • Adhere to Legacy’s exposure control plans for maximum safety.
  • Engage in annual educational programs to stay at the forefront of industry practices.
  • Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned, driving continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is a baseline requirement.
  • Exemplary, professional phone demeanor with an articulate voice.
  • Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of calls or patients seamlessly.
  • Exceptional data-entry proficiency with cutting-edge accuracy.
  • Proficient in computer operations and multi-line phone systems.
  • Fundamental skills in basic math and filing methodologies.
  • Capacity to navigate multiple deadlines and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Bilingual abilities in English/Spanish are a valuable asset.
