As an integral member of our innovative healthcare team at Houston, TX, you'll directly assist providers in facilitating exams and executing minor office procedures with precision and empathy. Your role is pivotal in revolutionizing patient care experiences, ensuring our community thrives through exceptional health services right from the exam room to the lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview patients to gather critical medical information, measure vital signs, height, and weight, and meticulously record this data in medical records.
  • Collect and prepare blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring accurate logging and handling throughout the process.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments by providing instruments, performing injections, or removing sutures, enhancing overall care efficiency.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examinations, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and responsibly dispose of contaminated supplies to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
  • Conduct phone consultations to discuss test results and address patients' health concerns, fostering a thoughtful patient engagement process.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or possession of a Medical Assistant certificate.
  • Basic Life Support certification, ensuring preparedness for critical moments.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is preferred, broadening communication capabilities within our diverse community.
