Based in our vibrant Legacy Montrose Clinic (1415 California St.) in Houston, TX, you will be instrumental in serving our diverse clientele, facilitating their journey to vital health services. Key Responsibilities

  • Determine patients' eligibility for third-party reimbursement, ensuring no alternate payer sources such as Medicaid, Medicare, or other third-party insurance are available.
  • Process essential data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS system accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete comprehensive paperwork, ensuring every detail is accurate and complete to smooth patient onboarding.
  • Set initial service appointments for patients, ensuring a seamless transition into our healthcare services once eligibility is confirmed.
  • Ensure proper insurance billing through accurate coding, maximizing reimbursement opportunities.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective applicants and patients, providing clear, compassionate communication and assistance.
  • Participate in all required safety education programs and annual training to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent is required, laying the foundational knowledge needed for this role.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, an essential skill to effectively communicate and serve our diverse patient population.
  • Preferred 3 - 5 years of Medical Billing experience, providing a robust backdrop for understanding the complexities of eligibility and reimbursement processes.
  • ICD-A or CPT codes experience preferred, enhancing your ability to navigate insurance billing and coding efficiently.
