Position Overview

Based at 2222 Cleburne St. Suite 108, you will become an integral part of a mission-driven organization, ensuring access to essential health services for our diverse clientele. As a bilingual English/Spanish Eligibility Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to connect patients with the healthcare they need, while navigating the complexities of third-party reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately determine patient eligibility for third-party reimbursement following specific program procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure patients do not have other payer sources like Medicaid, Medicare, ADAP, or other third-party insurance.
  • Process necessary data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS and handle all required paperwork efficiently.
  • Set initial service appointments with patients to facilitate their access to healthcare services.
  • Ensure proper coding for insurance billing to maintain accurate records and streamline reimbursement processes.
  • Handle inquiries from prospective applicants and patients, providing exceptional customer service and assistance.
  • Participate in all required safety education programs and annual education programs to maintain compliance and enhance skills.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 3 - 5 years of medical billing experience preferred, showcasing your expertise in the field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, enabling effective communication with a diverse patient base.
  • Experience with ICD-A or CPT codes preferred, to ensure accuracy in coding and billing processes.
