As a Bilingual Eligibility Specialist, you will be at the forefront of facilitating patient access to essential healthcare services at our bustling Montrose Clinic (1415 California St.). Your day involves processing data to welcome new patients into the CPCDMS, setting up their initial service appointments with our dedicated team, and ensuring that all insurance billing is correctly coded. Moreover, you'll engage with potential applicants and current patients, fostering a supportive and informative environment. As a vital member of our team, you will also participate in ongoing safety and educational programs to keep our community and staff at the cutting edge of healthcare practices.

If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact in community healthcare and thrive in a collaborative environment that encourages growth, this opportunity is for you.

Located at our Legacy Montrose Clinic, this role operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine patient eligibility for a variety of third-party reimbursement programs.
  • Accurately process data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS system.
  • Coordinate initial service appointments post-eligibility determination.
  • Ensure proper coding for insurance billing to streamline processing.
  • Engage with and handle inquiries from prospective applicants and patients to provide clarity and assistance.
  • Participate in all mandated safety education programs and annual educational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in medical billing preferred.
  • Experience with ICD-A or CPT codes is highly preferred.
