Located at the dynamic Legacy Montrose Clinic (1415 California St.) in Houston, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting individuals to the care they need, regardless of their financial situation. Your work will help improve the overall wellness and quality of life for our patients while being a crucial part of a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities

  • Determine patient eligibility for third-party reimbursements by meticulously following program-specific guidelines.
  • Assess and ensure that patients do not possess alternative payer sources, such as Medicaid, Medicare, ADAP, or other third-party insurance.
  • Efficiently process data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS and manage associated paperwork.
  • Schedule initial service appointments to set the stage for comprehensive patient care.
  • Accurately ensure proper coding for insurance billing, facilitating seamless financial operations.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from prospective applicants and current patients with professionalism and clarity.
  • Participate in all mandated safety and annual education programs to stay abreast of best practices and innovations in healthcare delivery.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent GED.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Medical Billing is preferred, enhancing your ability to navigate complex billing systems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate and serve our diverse patient population.
  • Proficiency in ICD-A or CPT coding is preferred, supporting optimal clinic operations through precise billing practices.
