We're on the lookout for a compassionate and dynamic Bilingual English/Spanish Medical Assistant Float to become a vital part of our vibrant team across multiple Houston locations, including 5th Ward, 3rd Ward, Lawndale, Deer Park, and Baytown.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient interviews to gather medical history and accurately record vital signs, height, and weight into medical records.
  • Collect, log, and prepare blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing.
  • Assist physicians during exams and treatments, including handing instruments, giving injections, and removing sutures.
  • Ensure treatment rooms are well-prepared, neat, and sanitized for each patient examination.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments, and properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Conduct phone consultations to discuss test results and health concerns, enhancing patient trust and care continuity.
  • Provide comprehensive support across various service lines like Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Adult Medicine, adapting to the needs of different clinicians.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or certificate of Medical Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population.
