About the Position

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s cash management and treasury operations. This entry-level position will monitor daily cash flow, assist in managing bank relationships, and ensure timely execution of transactions to optimize Legacy’s financial position. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to identify process improvements and maintain smooth treasury operations.
 

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Reporting:
  • Prepare financial reports summarizing the organization’s cash position and cash flow performance.
  • Assist in developing short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Support Grant Accounting team with analyses, forecasts, and reports related to grant proposals, actual performance, and projected spend down of remaining funds.
  • Support the planning and management of transfers between bank accounts.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and cash accounts.
  • Support monthly reporting and analysis of cash and investment balances.
  • Support in managing debt covenants and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze and report on key financial metrics related to treasury and grants to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with maintaining relationships with banking partners and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to cash and investments.
Process Improvement & Technology:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline cash management processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of new treasury tools and software systems.
  • Stay current on best practices in nonprofit treasury operations and recommend improvements.
Internal Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure seamless cash reconciliations.
  • Assist with financial audits by providing cash-related reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize payment schedules and cash usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or finance (internship experience counts) required
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
  • Experience in Healthcare preferred
  • Experience in nonprofit preferred
