About the Position

The Director of Operations for Information Management at Legacy Community Health will plan and direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical and operational information systems (IS) to effectively apply technology solutions with the goal of improving function and health record management. As Director, you will perform administrative and management duties as well as translating Legacy's mission, strategic goals, and program priorities into objectives for Legacy's clinical and operational IS. You will also manage the analysis, selection, design, implementation, and support for various solutions in collaboration with Legacy's IT department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a cross-functional team to promote the adoption and optimization of clinical and operational IS solutions, including the day-to-day aspects of the team
  • Direct and coordinate the design, implementation, and maintenance of clinical and operational IS solutions to improve daily functions and objectives
  • Coordinate HIMS projects to achieve effective integration and interoperability with other IT applications and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifying experience
    • Master's degree preferred
  • HIMSS certification
  • Certification related to program or project management, healthcare IT, and/or IT Management preferred
  • 3 years of experience with IT services, record management, support, or training in a healthcare organization
  • 3 years of experience with EHR, Care or Case Management, or similar clinical software
  • 5 years of experience with electronic health record or similar IS implementation, support, training, or administration preferred
  • 6 years of experience with clinical and operational healthcare software configuration, implementation, support, and delivery
  • 3 years of progressive leadership experience
