Legacy Community Health is looking for a Director of Contracting with a focus on Payor Contracts

 

About the Position

The Director of Payor Contracts at Legacy Community Health will negotiate payor contracts as well as lead the contracting team in regard to payor relations, credentialing, and privileging. You will need to develop a long-term payor contracting strategy so as to lead the organization's transition to value-based care agreements. To do so, you will need to develop and maintain relationships with both insurance companies and managed care companies that are responsible for contracting with healthcare providers. As part of negotiations, you will be involved with the language, rates, amendments, and other details as part of the contracts. You will also monitor the financial performance for opportunities in net revenue improvement, volume / growth, and effectiveness of collection efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in manager care contracting in payor or health care setting
  • 3 years of experience in a medium to large health system
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
