As a Patient Assistance Representative based in Houston, TX, you'll be brilliantly positioned within our Corporate Administration department to connect Legacy's clients with vital programs under the Ryan White Grant. These programs include the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Local Pharmacy Assistance Program (LPAP), Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA), and Health Insurance Assistance. Harness Your Skills: Key Responsibilities

  • Navigate the intricacies of Ryan White Grant programs, providing exceptional support as you guide patients through acquiring medications and health insurance assistance.
  • Engage directly with eligible clients to gather necessary documentation for program enrollment and ensure swift processing.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of program participants, ensuring up-to-date records to support seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct routine and impactful communication with clients, bolstering engagement and sustaining their eligibility through monthly interactions.
  • Vigilantly monitor incoming requests, ensuring prompt and judicious action while documenting patient care activities in electronic records such as Centricity, Pioneer, and ARIES.
  • Ensure that month-end report reconciliation is meticulously performed, reflecting accurate client encounters and supporting grant standards.
  • Proactively collaborate with peers and healthcare providers to address and resolve client concerns, utilizing established documentation processes.
  • Conduct program reviews and audits, reinforcing precise reporting and data validation in alignment with grant requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to the vitality of Legacy Community Health’s mission.

Your Qualifications: Forge a Path Forward

  • Possess a high school diploma with at least one year of experience in healthcare or a minimum of three years in customer service, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with healthcare terminology and an understanding of HIV disease and its pharmacological treatments.
  • Exhibit knowledge of insurance policies, including COBRA, as well as proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Showcase strong command of MS Excel and MS Word, ensuring adept management of documentation and program-related activities.
