As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a crucial role in administering compassionate and expert care to children within our School-Based program clinic setting. This position also involves attending to the healthcare needs of family members of enrolled students in the School-Based Health (SBH) program, all under the supportive supervision of our talented physicians.

This full-time role operates within the school hours of Monday through Friday, ensuring you have a work-life balance that aligns with educational environments. Your leadership and dedication will be anchored in the vibrant clinics (YES PREP Northline Secondary and YES PREP Northline) in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive and empathetic healthcare to children within the School-Based program.
  • Provide medical care to family members of students under the SBH program.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and the School-Based Team to ensure seamless healthcare delivery.
  • Engage in innovative practices to foster a healthier community environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for students and colleagues, promoting our mission of community health.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited program in nursing or a related field.
  • Current and valid license from the Texas Board of Nursing or Texas Physician Assistant Board.
  • Minimum of 2 years of paid, clinical experience in a relevant setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication within our diverse community.
