Facilities Technician

Overview

Join our dynamic team at Legacy Community Health in Houston, TX, as a Facilities Technician, where creativity meets innovation in maintaining the backbone of our healthcare services. As a crucial member of our facilities team, you will ensure that our clinical environment remains safe, secure, and aesthetically welcoming for both our staff and community.

Your expertise in general maintenance and repairs will encompass a wide array of structural and building systems, from HVAC to electrical systems. This role is pivotal in optimizing the healthcare experience within our community, making a tangible impact on the quality of care we provide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on building structures and systems, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, door hardware, and window systems.
  • Execute routine preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and supplies essential for maintenance operations.
  • Submit detailed maintenance records of repaired or serviced items to uphold transparency and accuracy in facility operations.
  • Adapt to additional duties as assigned, contributing to a flexible and responsive facilities team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Building Trades are preferred, highlighting your specialized skills.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience in facility maintenance or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy to manage maintenance logs and coordinate supply inventories effectively.
