About the Position

The Patient Assistance Representative at Legacy Community Health provides support to identified clients with programs that provide financial assistance to the clients for medication and medical coverage. You will ensure that appropriate documentation is received and utilized to support the use of the funds being administered for each program. In this position, timely communication and follow ups are vital to minimize the time to medication and medical coverage.

Our roots began in 1981 as the Montrose Clinic, with specialization in HIV education, testing, and treatment. Since then, the agency has expanded to >50 clinics in Houston, one in Baytown, 3 in Beaumont, and one in Deer Park with extensive services that include: Adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, dental, vision and behavioral health. We also service students within KIPP and YES Prep schools. Legacy is committed to driving healthy change in our communities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of healthcare experience or 3 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease, and medications to treat HIV and associated illness preferred
  • Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge
  • Spanish-speaking preferred
