Legacy Community Health is looking for a Director to oversee Development and Special Events
About the Position
The Development & Special Events Director is responsible for communicating and messaging, planning, and executing the logistics for all special event fundraisers for Legacy Community Health. You will need to manage and produce the larger and smaller-scale events that occur throughout the year, including catering, decor, entertainment, and staffing as well as producing printed or press materials for the events. As the Director of Special Events, you will establish and manage a budget for each event while working with key members of the development staff to cultivate and secure event underwriters and in-kind donors. Following the events, you will ensure that all donor acknowledgements are processed and underwriter benefits are fulfilled.

- Solicitation Phase
- Solicit and secure sponsorship for all events
- Lights of Legacy | Schmooze
- Annual / Semi-Annual Cocktail Parties (winter and spring)
- Holiday Schmooze
- Mint Julep variety show
- Event-driven donor portfolio (approximately 50 constituents)
- Other events determined by department leadership
- Stewardship Phase
- Capital Campaign appreciation events
- Engagement of event chairs
- Planned giving events
- Other events as determined by department leadership
- General
- Serve as vital member of the Golf Tournament Committee
- Other events as determined by department leadership

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree, preferred
- Experience with successfully planning and executing non-profit fundraising events
- Experience with membership programs
- Experience with donor management software
- Raiser's Edge NXT preferred
- 5 years of experience as a skilled development professional
